The ODC School Audition Series brings dancers and choreographers together in a class context. Dancers may use class cards or pay a $14 drop in fee ($1 cash discount). ALL ARE WELCOME TO TAKE CLASS EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT AUDITIONING FOR THE SUMMER INTENSIVES!Wednesday, December 19, 201210am - 12pmMARK MORRIS DANCE GROUP (MMDG) SUMMER INTENSIVES 2013Brooklyn, NY: Mark Morris Dance CenterWeek 1: June 24-28, 2013Week 2: July 1-6, 2013Pasadena, CA: Lineage DanceJune 24-29, 2013Explore the challenging and innovative work of Mark Morris. Study with current and former MMDG company members in daily classes: modern, ballet, Pilates and MMDG repertory. Additional activities may include panel discussions, injury prevention seminars and music workshops. Each session concludes in an informal repertory performance.PREREQUISITES: The MMDG Summer Intensive is open to both pre-professional and professional dancers ages 16 and older.COST: Early Application Rate (on or before April 19, 2013): $325/one week; $600/two weeks. Final Application Rate (on or before May 17, 2013): $350/one week; $650/two weeks.Note: The two week rates only apply to the Brooklyn intensiveHOUSING: Housing is available, but is NOT INCLUDED as part of tuition. Dancers should indicate their interest in housing information on the application and will be contacted with more details if/when accepted into the program.HOW TO APPLY: In lieu of a video submission, dancers can attend an audition class. The 2-hour audition class, taught by members of MMDG, will begin with a modern dance technique followed by Mark Morris repertory. Dancers should bring a completed application form and cover letter to the audition. Admittance into the Summer Intensive is on a rolling basis, dancers will be notified of acceptance into the program within two weeks of the audition.
