A Company Built on Risk and Nerve
ODC/Dance is known throughout the world for its athleticism, passion and intellectual depth. The Company's three resident choreographers, Brenda Way, KT Nelson, and Kimi Okada, are considered among America's major contemporary choreographers. They have created a dynamic movement vocabulary over the last three decades that has significantly influenced dancers and choreographers alike. Founded in 1971 by Artistic Director Brenda Way.

ODC Theater exists to develop innovative artists through mentorship, commissioning, presenting their work and providing rental space to the entire community; to develop engaged and committed audiences; and to advocate for the performing arts as an essential component to the economic and cultural development of the San Francisco Bay Area.
Dance Company School / Rhythm & Motion
At ODC Dance Commons we believe in the power of dance to inspire, transform, and celebrate. With the partnership of the ODC School and Rhythm & Motion we have created a lively community arts center that trains, nurtures, and develops both the professional and the newcomer. We offer professional track training side by side with dance classes for everyone in the belief that dance for any age and level should be a visible , accessible, and joyful part of a larger world.
