A dance about desire.

Acclaimed LA-based choreographer and ODC Theater Resident Artist Holly Johnston and four dancers move through a shifting visual landscape as they explore the exhilarating, maddening, and often mysterious terrain of relationships and our instinct for self-gratification. Exploring the moments where we feel most alive, Want looks at the euphoria of a satisfied craving as well as the dark side of desire: unrequited lust, thwarted actions, and despair. High-velocity, high-risk partnering will leave audiences breathless. At the cutting edge of dance and technology, Want uses Projection Mapping Technology to transform the dancers’ bodies in unusual ways.

Studio to Stage, Weds, Feb 15, 10am
Work side by side with Holly Johnston in an intimate setting, learn phrase work from her world premiere Want, then see the show that weekend. $30 gets a class with Holly and a ticket to any performance of Want at the ODC Theater to see what you've learned live on stage. Registration for Studio to Stage starts Mon, Feb 6.

Post Show Talkback, Sat, Feb 18, 9pm
Happening immediately after the show and open to any ticket buyers, the artists will chat about Want and their process in creating it. Moderated by Acting ODC Theater Director Christy Bolingbroke and ODC Board Treasurer Cynthia McNulty, Holly Johnston and her team will discuss creating this multi-media dance piece.
