Summer 2015 - Dance at ODC!
With various class offerings, students ages 2 - 18 can find a place to dance at ODC this summer! Creative movement for young students, introductory classes for youth, and intensives for teens - all taught by esteemed Bay Area faculty in our beautiful ODC Dance Commons.

Students ages 2 - 7 will learn the love of dance! Students are challenged with rhythm, musicality, while engaging in a dynamic dance experience! This 6-week session is offered June 6 - July 19, 2015, Saturdays and Sundays, with a break of July 4 - 5, 2015.
Tuition for the 6-week session is $114.
Blending movement, music, and rhythm, this 4-week introduction class prepares students to move in a variety of dance forms! Students are exposed to technique, rhythm, musicality, and dance etiquette. This course is specially designed for students who are new to dance! These classes lay the foundation for future classes while engaging student in a dynamic dance experience. With flexible scheduling, students are welcome to enroll for 1, 2, 3, or 4 weeks!
Week 1: Contemporary
Week 2: Ballet
Week 3: Hip Hop
Week 4: Global
1 Week: $76 ($19/class)
2 Weeks: $136 ($17/class)
3 Weeks: $180 ($15/class)
4 Weeks: $208 ($13/class)

2-WEEK TEEN INTENSIVE
June 22 - July 3, 2015
Interested dancers must submit an application for consideration of acceptance to ODC's Summer Teen Intensive. Youth & Teen Program Staff will notify students as they are accepted. Students are encouraged to apply early, as acceptance is granted on a rolling basis. Upon acceptance, a $100 deposit is due to secure your space. Space is not held or guaranteed until deposit is received.

About our Teen Intensive
A 10-day intensive designed exclusively for teens. Students will experience the excitement and challenge of different dance technique styles including Contemporary, Global, and post-modern partnering. They will also choreograph their own movement within an ensemble situation under the guidance of a professional choreographer, culminating in an informal showing on the last day. All classes are taught by an esteemed faculty of Bay Area dance professionals at our state of the art facility, the ODC Dance Commons. The session ends with an informal performance on Friday, July 3, 2014.
9:00 - 10:30am - Contemporary
10:30 - 12:00pm - Variety (past has included Pan African, Bollywood, and Global Street Dance)
1:00 - 2:00pm - Improvisation or Partnering
2:00 - 4:00pm - Composition/Rep
At least 2 - 3 years of technical dance training and some performance experience required. Placement classes for the technique classes will take place on the first day of the intensive.
3-WEEK SUMMER TEEN PRE-PROFESSIONAL LAB

About our Pre-Professional Teen Lab
A 3-week dance intensive designed for teens serious about dance. Faculty will include current ODC/Dance company members, ODC/Dance alumni, and other esteemed Bay Area professionals. Daily classes in Contemporary and Ballet, with additional classes in African, Contact Improvisation, Pilates, and Composition/Choreography. Placement in the appropriate technique class level will happen after the first day. Students will also learn an ODC/Dance repertory piece, and receive individual coaching sessions on technique and performance with ODC/Dance company members and alumni. Session ends with an informal performance on Friday, July 24, 2015. All classes are taught at our state of the art facility, the ODC Dance Commons.
