ODC/Dance Audition Workshop

July 31st - August 6th
ODC Dance Commons

The audition workshop will be an immersive experience working directly with ODC Founder and Artistic Director Brenda Way and ODC/Dance Company. Throughout the week we will train together, create together, learn repertoire, see performances, and break bread. This is a chance for us to get to know you, and for you to get to know us. Participation in the full week is required, although partial participation may be granted on a case by case basis. This is the only audition opportunity for ODC/Dance, and we are looking for at least one female identifying and one male identifying dancer.

Dancers must have a strong technical background in ballet, professional performance experience, and be eligible to work in the United States.

ODC/Dance company members receive an exclusive full year contract that includes group health care benefits, dance classes at ODC, free and reduced cost Pilates services, and other opt-in benefits. In addition, they participate in an exciting and demanding performance schedule including two annual home seasons, domestic and international touring, and a collaborative choreographic process.

To apply for the audition: Show us what you got by submitting a video. We value strong ballet technique, partnering ability, creativity, discipline, and in the personal domain, generosity, courage, nuance, humor, and other interests. Dance for us. Talk to us. Five minute or shorter videos must be submitted by July 15th to be considered for the audition.

Please send your videos and any questions to DanceCompany@odc.dance.

Workshop cost: $500 (Some scholarships available. Inquire via email for more information on scholarships.)
