We are looking forward to welcoming you on Friday, March 31st for ODC’s 2023 Dance Downtown Gala. Below, you’ll find important information that will help you make the most of your evening with us.

What is ODC?

First things first, What is ODC? Founder and Artistic Director Brenda Way shares a brief rundown of our history:

Dinner Entree Selection, Dietary Preferences, and Accessibility Needs

Fill out the Dance Downtown Gala - Guest Information Form by Friday, March 17th to select your dinner entree and to let us know of any dietary preferences (e.g. allergies) or accessibility needs.

Venue, Event Arrival and Check-In
The Gala evening will begin at the Blue Shield Theater of California at YBCA located at 700 Howard Street, San Francisco, CA 94103. Upon arrival, please head to the Theater lobby where our Gala Check-In stations will be.

FAQ

Where can I park?

We recommend using rideshare or other car service for the evening but if you need to park a vehicle, we suggest parking at SFMOMA’s Garage located at 147 Minna Street. Please Note: the SFMOMA’s garage is graciously remaining open until 12:30AM for ODC Gala guests that evening. An alternative option is the Fifth & Mission Garage since it is open 24 hours. If you plan on parking there, please build in walking time to YBCA Theater.
I purchased a Young Patrons Group ticket. What does that mean?

Your Young Patrons Group ticket is for the full Gala evening - welcome reception, dinner, performance and After-Party. Unless otherwise requested, you’ll be seated with other Young Patrons Group ticket holders.
I purchased a Performance & After-Party Ticket. What does that mean?

Your evening will begin with the performance at YBCA Theater (8:00 PM performance; check-in begins at 7:30 PM). Please enter the Theater building from the 700 Howard Street entrance and look for the Gala Check-In table. You’ll pick up your tickets for the show and our staff and volunteers will be happy to answer any questions you may have. After the performance, follow the crowd back to the Forum for the After-Party.
